The aim of the register

The Register-based Labour Force Statistics (RAS) aims to provide a description of the population’s affiliation with the labour market at a specific point in time: The end of November.

Population

The register’s population consists of persons residing in Denmark on 1 January, including information on affiliation with the labour market at the end of November the previous year.

Variables

Demographic variables, Education variables, Information on the employees’ workplace, Information on unemployment, Information on the scope of the work.

RAS acquires its main input from eleven registers. They are the Salary Information Register by the Central Tax Administration, the Indices of Earnings for the Public Sector, the Central Business Register (CER), the Unemployment Statistics Register (CRAM), the Register of Labour Market Policy Measures (AMFORA), the Employment Classification Module (AKM), the Educational Classification Module (UKM), the Social Benefits Register, the Register of Unemployment Benefit Payments, the Income Statistics Register and the Population Statistics Register.
